Life Happenings
Quite a lot has been happening in my life lately. My business has been dying down for the summer and so I have picked up another job which I really didn't want to have to do but I knew it was inevitable. I don't particularly like it. The job is okay but working for someone else sucks! I like setting my own wage thank you. I'm working for a delivery company, contracting out my truck to them. It's decent money (when my truck is running). The starter on my truck is getting rebuilt today and so I am sitting at home.
Dad is doing well. But grandma (dad's mom) was having some health problems last week. And so dad and mom flew out to BC to see her through. I guess her blood was too thick and she was having trouble breathing properly. She went to the hospital and they thinned her blood out. She is now doing well also.
My brother is staying in Korea for another year. He has been teaching English at a private elementary school. Now he has moved to a public school and will be working half the hours with more pay.
My buddy Cory won the Hot 93 prize package for the Blades opening game this past Friday. That night 8 of us had a good view of the Raiders beating the Blades, ate pizza & pop, met Shane Yellowbird who had sung the national anthem (he's a country singer, his big hit is "Beautiful Concept"), got signed cds and posters from Shane, and went for a tour of the Blades' dressing room. Good times!
Well, the Kutless concert is tomorrow night at the Odeon. Might go. And Lisa is coming up on Thursday. We're probably going to see The Corb Lund Band and The Hurtin' Albertins on Friday night at Prairieland Park. Oh and the Dixie Chicks are coming to Sask Place in November, we already have tickets for that.
