The Art of Sleeping and Tentative Planning

It is an art, really. I'm at a point in my life where I have had so many different sleeping patterns over the last few year that sometimes my body just asks me why I want to sleep at certain times. I'll probably be tired in an hour or so, so it's no big deal. Just an observation. Well, partly why I couldn't sleep was the thought pattern going on in my head. I was running through the next few months and coming up with a tentative plan. I say tentative because I like to have an idea of what I'll be doing but I also like to be flexible and change things around. So nothing is concrete but here's the an idea...

As of April 16th, I am laid off from my job. So between then and May, I want to pack up and move my stuff to the parents house. This will only work if my sister can find a housemate. Does anyone know of a Christian girl who needs a place around April or May? Let me know. So if that works out, I want to take off for a bit and visit friends and family all over Alberta and BC. Anyone wanna road trip it? Let me know. Probably all of May. Visit my bro in Calgary. Maybe see some family on my way to Vancouver. Then volunteer at UrbanPromise for a week or 2 while sightseeing in Van. And then take a ferry to the Isle for a wedding and see my gramma and aunt & uncle, maybe do some camping for a few days out there. I want to hit up YC in Edmonton on the way back (May 27-29). Then at the start of June, if I ever get my application filled out, I want to hit up Stoney until the end of August. For the fall, I'm looking at PRBI to finish up my degree. I don't know why PRBI, I think God is leading me there. Everytime I go to look at another school, PRBI is in the back of my head. It won't go away....and I don't even really know anything about it. So, you could pray about that and all of these tentative plans. Oh, if you haven't already, check out the updates I made on the 25th. TTYL. kev.

What's really going on?

Anne McLellan changed her mind on the definition of marriage. She is a Liberal MP for the Edmonton Centre riding. She previously stated how important it is to defend traditional marriage but is now voting in favour of Bill C-38 . What would make her change her mind? Will Paul Martin honour his word that the vote on Bill C-38 will be one of free will? It makes you wonder if anyone in parliament really has a free will. Let's say hypothetically that they don't have a free will--that they have to vote the way their political party wants them to. Okay. So who controls what the party wants? The members? The party leader? The millionaires who support the party? Because after all, if a party loses their support base, how can they stay/get into power? It makes you wonder who really decides what's "best" for our country, doesn't it? See Anne McLellan TV.

An' Den?

Hey boys and girls. It's Thursday morning on the 24th. mini kev sent me some new pictures to upload onto the site so I'll do that tonight. I think they're the conclusion of his concert trip. Don't miss out! Yeah, he's still visiting Becka in NC. He doesn't want to come back 'cause he's having such a sweet time down there. He said he has so many pictures to send me so I'll upload them as he sends them. Mmmmm, this is some good mozza I'm chewing on. I have to buy some more, I've run out after this bite! Oh, the humanity of having no mozza on hand!!! What if I get a sudden craving?! What if I go into convulsions if I don't get my cheese!? Aaaaaaah! Ok, time for bed. Night all. -Kev.

Life

I don't know how much you guys know about Terri Schiavo. She's the woman in Florida who's feeding tube has been removed on a court order. Her former husband, who is now with another woman since she has been in this veg-like state, said that he believed she would have wanted to die instead of living like she is now. Her parents want her alive and are willing to take care and have been taking care of her. I don't care if I am called an extemist, or a fundemtalist, or whatever. I will stand up for what I believe and I believe that all life is sacred.

Bittersweet

I'll include any future updates in with my blog. It was a HUGE weekend for the Conservative Party. For those of you that don't follow politics, they met in Montreal to come up with an official party policy on important issues. It was a bittersweet weekend. Although there were good results for those of us who support traditional marriage and family, the delegates voted to not take a stand on the issue of abortion. It's disappointing that the majority of people in power don't value human life. But as for the stance on traditional marriage, I applaud the 75% of the party who support it.

It's frustrating how people don't realize the consequences of moral decay on a society. One look back through history and you can see societal collapse after the loss of moral guidance. I'm not surprised that we, as a society, keep on making the same mistakes. Humans don't learn. We live to rebel--to break rules. We make rules so that we can break them. It's only a matter of time....before we do it too. We need to get out of this cycle. We need a way out. Enter Jesus Christ. All of a sudden, we do have a way out--or rather "in." ....I'll never be the same. I can't even comprehend what He's done for me, for you. All I did was accept it. He gives me peace when I need it. He overwhelms me with His love and comfort. You'll never know until you accept Him for yourself. It's not about a feeling or an experience. It's about love, it's about faith, and it's about trust--it's about God.
